Bella Is No Ordinary Vintage Ice Cream Van!

Our Vintage Ice Cream Van Bella joined our fleet in 2022, we wanted to be able to offer a complete British experience when catering at events with both Fish & Chips and Ice Cream!

We chose Bella as she was cute, small and traditional looking perfect to join our Vintage Fish & Chip Vans Betty and Beryl.

Bella is a pink and cream 1998 Ford Transit Ice Cream Van with some original features such as hand painted graphics and also a mural at the back of Disney characters.

With her charming retro design and commitment to eco-friendly practices, this unique ice cream and dessert van not only brings joy to ice cream lovers but also minimizes its impact on the environment.

At the heart of our environmentally friendly approach is our commitment to using sustainable practices wherever we can, we realised that the older style ice cream vans of the past which stopped on streets on rounds with engines running was not the ideal setup we wanted to attend events where event organisers are not keen on an ice cream van running for several hours.

Although there has been an increase in demand for diverse flavours for scooped Ice Cream including Gelatos and sorbets there is still a fondness for softserve "Mr Whippy" style ice cream loved by all ages.

Our biggest challenged was finding a better solution to using an well known branded soft serve ice cream machine that was being run by the engine and so we sought to find a machine that could be run by electric instead that could be powered by a generator if need be.

Our new machine was recently installed and we can now offer a more sustainable option for event organisers than we had before.

We also ensure we work with local suppliers as much as possible to keep travelling to minimal, this not only supports local businesses but also reduces the carbon footprint associated with transporting ingredients long distances.

Another way we support the environment is by using eco-friendly packaging wherever we can, all our ice cream pots and trays are made from cardboard or recyclable plastics. We encourage our customers to recycle by not providing bins and also recycle our own materials wherever possible.
