This has always been a big expense for any couple looking to get married, some venues insist on using In House Catering whilst others are a little more relaxed about who you can hire to come in and provide catering for you.

Traditionally there is the Wedding Breakfast which is normally the sit down meal at tables with people served and then the Evening Buffet with food laid out for people to help themselves but things have changed and we are seeing a rise in couples wishing for something different.
At The Hungry Plaice we have catered for Wedding Breakfasts, Evening Buffets, Wedding Rehearsal Dinners and even the morning after a Wedding to provide Breakfast for those that stayed over (and stayed up really really late!) all from our Vintage Fish and Chip Vans.
This shift in the Wedding Market is reflective of the different Venues that gain Wedding Licenses that are available to hire who do not always provide Wedding Catering.

The majority of the time we are booking directly with clients themselves who must gain approval from their venue to ensure we are allowed to cater on site, this has not ever been an issue for venues in fact we are also being booked directly with Wedding Venues who are taking over the organising from their clients and employing us directly this is helping us build repeat bookings with venue providers and also provide more competitive rates.
